This is the first wine to display any appreciable amount of wood and even here it’s quite subtle as it easily allows the notably exotic aromas of dried yellow fruit

Give it a couple of years to unravel

It's round

The 2013 vintage was balanced overall without the sudden heat waves we saw in the summers of 2011 and 2012

2008 was the first vintage where it was declared separately)

Finishes slightly dry-edged

the palate is charged with energy

with mouth-watering acidity and a chalky stony note

the two wines aren't that different because Sanford & Benedict is at the heart of both
